Many EPL owners, mainly Americans, want to do away with promotion/regulation in the EPL and other leagues in England.  That probably won’t happen (knock on wood)

Every time someone writes an article on promotion/relegation a part of me dies. Why do these continue to be written? is the whole internet big soccer? because this is shit that should be limited to big soccer. Listen I get it promotion and relegation is exciting. It makes the end of season 100 times more interesting especially when you have a run away title winner. There’s nothing like a great escape but it’s just not going to happen here and its such a moot point why do we even need these articles even they are in agreement with me. So can we just stop it already?

The way I see it, if we can get promotion/regulation here in the US it means that interest in soccer has grown. It means that MLS has been getting more and more support.  It means that the NASL is stable and are also getting support, both financially and from fans.  I don’t care about “being like Europe”. I just care about the sport growing here.
