On why MLS can't do promotion/regulation....yet →
alexher: thoughtsatwork: Many EPL owners, mainly Americans, want to do away with promotion/regulation in the EPL and other leagues in England.  That probably won’t happen (knock on wood) This great article sums up why MLS can’t do pro/reg just yet. Every time someone writes an article on promotion/relegation a part of me dies. Why do these continue to be written? is the whole internet big...

De-ro for MVP
Dudes been amazing this year. He’s always been a hell of player since his days as a smurf. But that hat trick was simply amazing. LA v DC MLS cup final? What a game that would be

Yesterdays game really showed
how being on top of the East is a lot different than being on top of the West. Being on top of the table is like graduating top of your class from your school.  The West being like graduating from Yale or Harvard, the East like graduating from Community College (paraphrasing Corner of the Galaxy Podcasts) but it feels so good to be on top.  I think something like 6 more points and we win the...

Somebody threw a banana at Wayne Simmonds
1stlinecenter: when he was going for a shootout attempt in the DET-PHI exhibition game in London, Ontario. I cannot fucking believe this. Im fucking pissed. The statement released by the owner of the Flyers made me more mad.  We certainly don’t condone such a foolish act (like this) as a player could potentially be seriously injured. This is ninth time we have played here in London...

LA 2-San Jose 0
futbolismylife: Great debut for Robbie Keane. Awesome to see Hejduk back on the field. Beautiful goal by Magee with great assist from Franklin, Donovan, and Lopez. And the Galaxy have broken 50 points. I’m going to sleep happy tonight!  And watching the sj smurfs goalkeeper jump like a jellyfish also makes me happy :)

Galaxy beat Motagua 2-0!
In the opening game of the group stages of the CONCACAF Champions League (CCL), the Los Angeles Galaxy beat Honduran club Motagua 2 -0 with goals from Galaxy’s Cristman and Donovan. I was going to try and write like a sports journalist but its pretty hard to write this without being biased. I mean WE WON :) I hope that this means that the CCL becomes an important part of the leagues and...

ribskulled: Or is reading on an eReader, like the Kindle, Nook, apps on iPods/iPads… I don’t care how they read, whether it’s on a screen or paper. What matters is that the story is being told still, and that there are people who are eager to know it. And sometimes it’s very handy to have an eReader. For… I agree with you on the advantages of ereaders.  I actually am researching which...

Thought on Borders...
I was originally going to write about my current dilema, wether I should buy an ereader or keep buying physical books. Then I found out that Borders Bookstores is shutting down.  All of them.  It’s pretty ironic that I was researching ereaders and found this out about a company that I used to (still occasionally do) work for.  Ereaders may not have directly killed Borders, horrible...

World Football Challenge
I find myself cheering for all the MLS teams. (even New England Revolution, even though they are terrible in my opinion) Obviously I cheered for my LA Galaxy but I think we all knew how that was going to end up.  Like I’ve said before I just wanted them to play a better game, better than what I saw at least.   Today Vancouver went up against Manchester City and I feel like the Whitecaps...
